Sir Bobby Robson is the greatest manager in the history of Ipswich Town F.C.. Between 1969 and 1982, he transformed the club into one of England's leading sides, winning the FA Cup and the UEFA Cup. Robson's Ipswich team played attractive, attacking football and regularly challenged for the First Division title despite operating with far fewer resources than many rivals. His remarkable achievements earned him the England manager's job in 1982, but his legacy at Portman Road remains unmatched, with supporters regarding him as the architect of the club's greatest era.
