John Robertson is a pivotal figure at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, serving as manager twice and later sporting director. His first spell (2002–2004) is best remembered for guiding ICT to the Scottish Premier League for the first time. He returned as manager in June 2017, steadied the club after relegation and won the Scottish Challenge Cup in 2018. In 2021 he moved upstairs as sporting director, briefly acting as caretaker again in 2023, before leaving the club later that year.
