Jocky Scott is a major figure in Dundee’s history, serving the club successfully as both player and manager; a skilful and intelligent forward, he had two playing spells at Dens Park and was part of the Dundee side that won the 1973 Scottish League Cup, while he later returned for several spells as manager, most notably guiding Dundee to the 1998 First Division title and promotion to the Scottish Premier League, with his long association, commitment and success making him one of the most recognisable figures connected with the Dark Blues.
