Billy Price was a prolific centre-forward and an important figure in Dundee’s post-war history, joining the club in 1949 and becoming a key part of one of the strongest sides in Scotland; a powerful and reliable goalscorer, he helped Dundee win the Scottish League Cup in both 1951 and 1952, forming part of a talented team that regularly challenged for major honours, and his goals and contribution during a successful period at Dens Park ensured Price is remembered as one of Dundee’s notable strikers of the 1950s.
