Steve Fletcher is one of Bournemouth’s greatest-ever figures. A powerful centre-forward, he had two spells at the club and became their record appearance holder, playing more league games for Bournemouth than anyone else. He was central to the club across difficult lower-league years and memorable promotion campaigns, and fans especially remember his crucial goal against Grimsby in 2009, which helped keep Bournemouth in the Football League during a financial crisis.
